Thank you for your interest in our CARE for a Child  (C4C) program.

As you are probably aware, one of our areas of work is amongst single parent families. Single parents face many challenges in bringing up their children  . The income of many of these families  fall below the poverty level and for many it is question of survival. Whilst the government is trying to set up a social safety net, the reality is that aid does not reach some of these families.

Many of the single mothers we come in contact with are unskilled and are unable to secure higher paying jobs. Even with welfare / government aid these families may still struggle to make ends meet due to rising cost of living and number of mouths to feed. As such there is a need to come alongside these families to empower the family to provide better care and opportunities for the children.  

Child sponsorship is a powerful vehicle for transformation of children and their families. Through C4C program , children are given access to additional teaching to help them with their studies, better healthcare and protection, and greater opportunities to develop their inner person and talents. Hence, an overall improved quality of life.

In some cases, especially for the older children, your sponsorship can make that difference between whether the child gets to continue to attend school and receive further education, or to go out to work in supplementing the family income.

A financial contribution of RM 100 per month will be required to sponsor a child. The sponsorship will be for 1 year after which you can decide to continue if the child is still in need.
