A Community partnership between DAIBOCHI PLASTIC AND PACKAGING SDN BHD and AgapeCARE Society.

Launched in October 2010 , the community partnership with Daibochi  is intended to alleviate the economic status of the poor and marginalized in the community  ( with priority to single mothers,  physically, mentally and emotionally challenged individuals and hardcore poor families)  by providing them an opportunity  to earn a reasonable and /or  supplementary  income and  improve their livelihoods.

The project involves manual assembly of a pet food packaging that is farmed out to those in the target group.

AgapeCARE mobilizes and assesses the candidates eligible for this project and provides initial training at  AgapeCARE’s  centre . Those who are capable of working independently will take then continue working at home  whilst those who will need close supervision viz the mentally/emotionally challenged will continue to work at AgapeCARE’s centre.

The average participant in this project who works part time and from home is able to take home an average additional income of RM 280 a month. Through this community partnership we have been able to help the needy and marginalized in society to be self-reliant and have a sense of personal worth and dignity.
